Healing in a World on the Edge

In Everwinter, survival is brutal — and healing is never guaranteed. Behind the street fights, radiation burns, and broken bodies stands Apex Trauma Hospital, the city’s last line of defense. As a member of the hospital staff, you do more than heal wounds — you shape the living, breathing lore of Everwinter itself.

Every patient you treat, every injury you record, feeds into the city’s daily updates, character card records, and future storylines. Your work directly impacts character development, player leveling, and the unfolding history of the world.

Your Role as a Medical Staff Member

At Apex Trauma Hospital, your responsibilities include:

  • Treating Injuries through Roleplay:
Bring realism and drama to medical scenes. From broken bones to radiation poisoning, players depend on you to make their stories matter.

  • Filing Medical Charts:
After each treatment, you must submit a medical chart.

    • Charts are critical. They validate healing, progression, and are reflected in daily character card updates, the Story HUD, and player leveling.

    • Every chart you file adds a permanent chapter to that player’s story — and to the ongoing evolution of Everwinter.

  • Driving Storylines:
Medical RP can reveal secrets, unearth emotional trauma, or create fresh rivalries and alliances. Be a catalyst for unforgettable arcs.

  • Preparing for the Wastes:
Injuries from the irradiated Wastes will soon leave lasting effects. Treatment won’t be optional — it will be essential for survival.

Key Features

  • Medical Charts Matter Deeply:

    • Filed charts influence the dynamic growth of each character.

    • Without a medical record, injuries may linger, healing may be incomplete, and progression can stall.

    • Medical records contribute to the city’s daily living lore and affect what is seen on Character Cards through the Story HUD.

  • Authentic, Character-Driven RP:

    • Don’t rush treatment scenes. Focus on realism: triage, diagnosis, bedside conversations, follow-ups.

    • Radiation, infections, and psychological trauma are just as important as physical wounds.

  • Interactive Hospital Environment:

    • Apex Trauma is designed for immersive scenes — from operating rooms and recovery wards to tense emergency triage situations.

  • Self-Serve Learning with the Story HUD:

    • New to medical roleplay? Use Ask Narrator or Wisp through your Story HUD to quickly learn how to roleplay procedures like stitching wounds, treating burns, setting fractures, and handling radiation exposure.
