APPROVED CURRICULUM. 214TH PRINTING. UNCHANGED

The Great Collapse. The old world was beautiful, and it was fragile, and it was governed by nations too divided to protect it. Ecological failure, resource conflict, and administrative paralysis brought humanity’s first civilization to its natural conclusion. It’s not a story of villains. It’s a story of what happens without coordination, and it’s why coordination is the Bastion’s first value.

The Corporate Exodus. Where governments faltered, industry acted. Aurora Industries built the Ark Ships and raised the Drifts, humanity’s home for the centuries that followed. Zenith Biotech safeguarded the human genome itself. Dynamic Evolution mastered the crossing between sky and ground. Alterscape preserved what could not be carried, our memories, our cultures, our dreams. Placement aboard the exodus was allocated by contribution, the fairest measure a failing world could offer, and the record of that allocation is complete.

The Centuries of Silence. In orbit, humanity endured, adapted, and planned. The Drifts were not an escape. They were a promise, that we would return when the Earth was ready to receive us.

The Terran Opportunity. In time, our instruments confirmed what our hearts had held. The Earth was healing. Dynamic Evolution led the Return, and every resident who steps from a decant hall today walks in that first landing’s footprints, home.

The Founding. Silas Vance, visionary and engineer, located the geothermal fields that made permanent settlement possible. Aurora raised the Warmth Grid, First Fire was lit, and the Bastion, the greatest cooperative achievement in human history, began. The early winters demanded discipline from everyone, and everyone gave it, and the city you live in is what that discipline built. Founding Day honors them all.
